Happy Easter! As difficult as it is to celebrate these holidays away from my own immediate family, it is always a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate with the family that I do have here in Minnesota. Pictured are Ricardo, his brother Valentino, and our beautiful nieces (Val's daughters) from oldest to youngest, Katie, Isabella, and Alexis. The photographer herself is missing from the picture who was perhaps the most important part of our day, as she cooked an amazing Easter dinner. Thanks Dawn (our sister-in-law)!
Also enjoying the festivities back in Michigan, Ricardo's sister Yolanda sent an adorable picture of she and Gianna paying a visit to the fuzzy Easter mascot himself! We miss you guys!!!
In pregnancy news, as if in a textbook, I "popped" this past weekend at EXACTLY 16 weeks! No more hiding the belly, just lots of convincing that I'm not just really out of shape. I actually had to go maternity shopping, and was mortified at the pant choices with the horrible bands at the top. Very quickly I realized, however, that these pants are muy comfy! Well worth the nerdiness! Don't get me wrong, I still will rock the old jeans for as long as I can with the help of my newly purchased Bella Band (a Lycra tube that fits over the top of your jeans so you don't have to button them). It looks like another layer underneath your top as evidenced by the picture below...Yeah, that's my real tummy!
Isn't it the law that you have to take the side-by-side shot next to your gorgeous and thin niece?!? I'll be sure to rub it in her face when she is pregnant someday! :)
Well, here's to 5 more months to go. Enjoy these first few weeks of spring!
Hugs,
Danielle
