What's most important is that Baby Torres is healthy and perfect so far as we can tell. That, my friends is the only thing that we've been hoping and praying for, which is all well and fine, but now, on to the fun part...
...I've been on pins and needles for the "routine ultrasound" as they call it, because, as you know...I'm a planner. I need to KNOW these things! I can honestly say this time around, the old cliche rang absolutely true for me. I would be thrilled with whatever God gave us. As you may have detected from the last time around, I really sort of wanted Alessandra to be a boy. But then a funny thing happened, she turned out to be quite rad. Plus, I already have all the girl stuff. Another girl would be cheap, easy, and we would know what in the heck we were doing. If Baby Torres ended up a boy, then it would be the perfect little well-rounded family. All we'd need then would be the dog and by gosh, paint our picture, Norman Rockwell!
All the while, we've been enjoying listening to others' speculations in addition to our own. Any guesses?!? Here are some additional snapshots to give you some context. How is the bone structure? Does Skeletor have male or female tendencies? Hmmm...

| Spooky face...Our baby has a skull! That is one plus. |

| Ten perfect little toes. (Well, perfect in the sense that they are there and functional. If they look anything like Ricardo's feet then I may reassess that statement at a later date.) |

Ready to look at some private parts?
We are having a little boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are absolutely thrilled with this outcome. How perfect is that? Big sister and little brother, 3 1/2 years apart. They'll be running in just different enough circles to not drive each other crazy, but close enough in age to get along. Alessandra will have to be BBT's (Baby Boy Torres) Yoda for a few years, but something tells me she won't mind bossing somebody around and showing them the way.
More to come this week, especially coming off of a trip back home for Germa's funeral and spending time with lots of people that I miss. Plus the 19 week belly shot, but I couldn't wait to share this good news with you.
Until then...
Team Torres
